STUFF THE TURKEY GAME

By Laura Benito.

Another activity for Thanksgiving day is this: Stuff the Turkey Game.

We make a turkey using paper bags and tissue paper. Paper balls in different colors are used to "stuff" the Turkey as if it were a basket.

Great TPR activity for teachers of English or teachers of bilingual Physical Education.

THANKSGIVING POPCORN TURKEY

By Laura Benito

Today is the last Thursday of November so... Happy Thanksgiving day!

I share a wonderful activity with you which can be done with Primary and Secondary students. And with Bachillerato, FP and adults, why not? Let's try.

I have done this activity with my students and it was a great success  :)

Watch the video. What do you think about it? I think it's so creative :D

HALLOWEEN LANTERNS

By Raquel M. Domínguez Curto

This year I wanted to celebrate Halloween with my pupils working on a project that took little time, since we are focusing our activities towards the Bilingual project. In any case, they enjoyed so much our Halloween crafts. They are cheap, easy to do and really, really decorative. But, BE CAREFUL!!! YOU CAN´T USE A REAL CANDLE!!! Here are some examples:

THE MONSTERS OF...

By Laura Benito

Children take their own photo in a black and white photocopy. They use crayons and felt-tipped pens to decorate their "faces" and become a Halloween character they like.

Then, we decorate the corridor posting our scaring Halloween characters.

It's a very fun activity and children love it. I do it every year.

Of course the teacher also becomes a Halloween character   :D

Students in 5th and 6th Primary also love this activity: Halloween glasses. I think pupils in 1º ESO would also like it.

HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE

By Laura Benito

Some years ago the whole school celebrated Halloween and we made a Haunted house in the main entrance of the school. Furthermore, when students came into the building the passed through a dark and spooky cave.

The materials we used were: "papel continuo", acrylic paint, black plastic bags, black and white wool and pictures of pumpkins, bats... in cardboard.

HALLOWEEN MONSTERS USING REAL OBJECTS

By Lauren Martínez Llorente

This year, to celebrate halloween in 1st year of ESO we did a new class activity.

We first work with a worksheet related to the festivity and then I asked my students to create a monster using the material that they have in class. They also had to give the monster a name.

It was a fun activity because they really enjoyed it and they had to think hard in order to invent a monster (some students found it difficult). Here are the results:
